Description
The Multi Asset Private Markets Investment Team (MAPM-IT), a part of Global Alternative Investment Solutions (GAIS) within JPMorgan Chase & Co's Asset & Wealth Management division, is responsible for sourcing, underwriting, and monitoring private investment funds and co-investments. Strategies span the private investment universe including buyout, growth equity, venture capital, private credit, real estate, and infrastructure. Based in New York with offices in London & Mumbai, the team has underwritten and onboarded 300+ funds representing over $100 billion in client commitments.Job Summary
As a Multi Asset Private Markets Investments Analyst within GAIS at JPMorgan Chase & Co's Asset & Wealth Management division, you will be responsible for sourcing, underwriting, and monitoring private investment funds and co-investments. You will have the opportunity to work closely with other Alternatives teams across GAIS, attend meetings with prospective and existing fund managers, and build specific knowledge of private markets. Your role will involve rigorous investment analysis and the creation of detailed investment collateral.
Job Responsibilities
- Assist senior team members in the sourcing, underwriting, and monitoring of private investment funds (and direct co-investments, to a lesser extent).
- Attend meetings with prospective and existing fund managers.
- Build specific knowledge of private markets and actively follow ongoing trends.
- Complete rigorous investment analysis, including assessment of fund managers' prior track record, operational metrics, cash flows, and value creation.
- Create detailed investment collateral including investment committee presentations.
- Closely monitor and document post-investment updates, including manager update calls and client reporting.
- Be able to travel for work on a limited basis.
Required Qualifications, Skills and Capabilities
- Minimum 1 year of experience in investment banking, investment due diligence, portfolio management, or a similar investment role.
- Highly motivated, hard-working, and interested in alternative investments / private markets
- Excellent quantitative skills, including understanding of basic corporate finance concepts.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including representing JPMorgan in internal/external meetings.
- Ability to think critically, problem-solve, and learn new concepts.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Tools & Skills: AI / LLMs (intermediate/strong required), MS Excel (intermediate/strong required), MS PowerPoint (intermediate/strong required)
