Description
Title - Vice President of FinanceCompany Overview - We are currently partnered with a Manufacturing firm looking to add a strategic and operationally focused Vice President of Finance to lead and scale the finance function for a growing, multi-site organization. This role will serve as a key member of the executive leadership team, partnering closely with the CEO and business unit leaders to drive financial performance, operational efficiency, and long-term value creation.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversees the preparation and review of internal financial reporting.
- Manages the preparation of consolidated federal income tax returns, along with individual federal and state filings.
- Develops and maintains accounting policies in line with current standards and business needs.
- Safeguards company assets by implementing strong accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Delivers accurate, relevant financial data and insights to support timely, informed decision-making.
- Builds and monitors financial models aligned with short- and long-term company objectives, tracking performance against plan.
- Leads the development and growth of a high-performing finance team to support current operations and future initiatives.
- Stays current on regulatory changes impacting financial reporting and compliance.
- Directs the preparation of the annual operating plan and ongoing monthly forecasts.
- Supports the analysis and development of the annual capital expenditure plan.
- Provides management with clear interpretation of budgets and operating results.
- Ensures compliance with all applicable tax regulations and financial reporting requirements.
- Partners with the Credit Manager to enhance credit evaluation processes and strengthen risk management practices.
- Oversees payroll and plant accounting functions, while collaborating with corporate accounting teams.
- Leads company-wide JSOX compliance efforts, ensuring adherence to internal controls and governance standards.
- Owns the administration and optimization of financial reporting and budgeting systems (OneStream).
- Performs additional responsibilities as assigned by the SVP of Finance, Accounting & IT, CEO, or Board of Directors.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA or MBA preferred
- 10+ years of progressive finance leadership experience, including experience at the Controller or VP level
- Strong background in manufacturing, industrial, or multi-site environments preferred
- Demonstrated experience managing complex financial operations across multiple entities
- Proven ability to partner cross-functionally and influence senior stakeholders
- Experience in high-growth, private equity-backed, or transformation environments is a plus
