Skills and Competencies
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Product Analyst supporting agile product lifecycle development, with demonstrated ownership of product analysis deliverables from discovery through delivery
- Experience independently managing requirements and design-related activities for complex, multi-system initiatives with strong accountability for accuracy, completeness, and follow-through
- Strong ability to translate business needs, user feedback, and data analysis into clear requirements, high-quality user stories, acceptance criteria, use cases, process flows, and supporting documentation that enable engineering teams to deliver measurable product outcomes
- Demonstrated proficiency in artificial intelligence concepts, with hands-on experience using AI tools to streamline workflows and enhance operational efficiency. Proven ability to implement AI-powered solutions to solve business challenges. Demonstrates a growing awareness of AI risk management and a commitment to responsible and ethical AI use
- Strong technical acumen and experience partnering closely with software engineering, analytics, design, and business teams to clarify scope, resolve ambiguity, and support successful delivery
- Extensive experience using project and backlog management tools to maintain a well-prioritized backlog, manage dependencies, track delivery progress, and support agile ceremonies
- Finance, accounting, and/or data background preferred
Education
- Bachelor's degree required in computer science, information systems, or related fields; advanced degree preferred with relevant experience
Responsibilities
Support the definition and delivery of digital solutions that translate business needs into customer-focused product outcomes
- Translate product vision and business requirements into engineering-ready user stories, acceptance criteria, and measurable delivery outcomes
- Take ownership of product analysis deliverables from discovery through implementation, proactively identifying risks, resolving ambiguity, and driving follow-through across teams
- Work directly with end users and business partners to understand needs, validate requirements, and deliver quality products and data
- Leverage AI tools as part of daily work to improve the speed, quality, and efficiency of product analysis, documentation, backlog management, and cross-functional collaboration
- Maintain an evergreen product roadmap and prioritized backlog to ensure the team is focused on the highest-value work, delivery timelines are clear, and cross-team dependencies are actively managed
- Apply strong technical acumen when partnering with software engineering and analytics teams to resolve complex delivery challenges
- Lead with curiosity, embrace responsible use of AI tools, and foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, diversity, inclusion, and accountability
About the Team
Our Product Management team is responsible for defining, delivering, and supporting scalable digital solutions that empower Moody's Ratings' analytic products and business partners. The team focuses on delivering customer-centered product experiences, data-driven capabilities, AI-enabled solutions, and platform modernization through strong product practices and an AI-first mindset, contributing directly to Moody's core business and technology strategy.
For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $119,100.00 - $172,650.00, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation. Moody's also offers a competitive benefits package, including not but limited to medical, dental, vision, parental leave, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employee and company contribution opportunities, life, disability, and accident insurance, a discounted employee stock purchase plan, and tuition reimbursement.
