Job Summary The Senior Information Services Operations Consultant provides senior-level strategic consulting and planning services with department- or system-wide impact. This person is recognized as experienced in cybersecurity, change management, program/project management, technical quality management, and process improvement. They develop and implement strategic business or technical solutions.
Essential Functions of the Role
• Uses in-depth business and industry knowledge to assess current systems, practices, or procedures as they relate to data transmission. Identifies opportunities and develops strategic recommendations for cost-effective technical or business solutions that meet requirements.
• Provide outcome help to administration, business/clinical areas, department directors, and managers to help strategic and operational business or technology conclusions.
• Develop change management plans, and schedules in line with organizational strategic initiatives.
• Facilitate strategic planning and design meetings to identify business and technical strategies. Resolve the system and solution needs for those strategies.
• Re-engineer technical and business processes for greater efficiencies with significant benefit to the Organization.
• Run the development and implementation of standard processes and activities related to change, operational improvement, integrated and end-to-end testing.
• Ensure projects quality assurance needs which could include: requirements gathering/assessment, environmental strategy, test plan/script development, and defect tracking.
• Recommend budget items necessary to help changes.
• Act as the top internal consultant. Provide recommendations, coaching, and training on technology, security, change management, and project management. Focus on technical quality management and process improvement.
Key Success Factors
• Must have excellent project management and change management skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Services, Industrial Engineering, Project Management, or a related field highly preferred.
• CISSP or CISM strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with DSPM tools strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with DLP tools strongly preferred.
• Must possess excellent critical thinking and experienced.
• Is self-directed, and able to operate in an environment with minimal supervision.
• Must have excellent expertise in one or more areas: Change Management, Business Workflow, Process Improvement, Program/Project Management, Vendor Management, Outsourcing, Business Process Modeling, IT Transformation, Enterprise Architecture, Business and Technology Value Management, Performance Metrics, Profitability assessment, Technical/Systems, Quality Management, Security Operations, and Training.
• Must be relaxed interacting with various clients from different departments and levels, including frequent interaction with System Executive Leadership.
