Description
Role SummaryA dynamic opportunity in treasury management focusing on ship finance in MOL Treasury Management, supporting critical financial operations for the Mitsui O.S.K. Lines group.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior team members in the entire end-to-end process for project and corporate financing of vessels, including compiling & summarizing Request for Financing (RfP) proposals received from financial institutions; collating and preparing due diligence information requested by potential lender(s); and collating conditions precedent & conditions subsequent items for loan drawdowns.
- Prepare presentations to support internal decision making, and papers for senior management and Board approvals.
- Assist in the execution of hedging strategies to mitigate interest rate and foreign exchange risks.
- Support affiliate companies in covenant tracking and monitoring of various secured credit facilities.
- Stay current on ship financing related activities and shipping industry trends.
- Ad hoc support for other treasury related activities (including participating in M&A due diligence process and evaluation of investment opportunities) and rotation of tasks as required from time to time.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
- Diploma or Degree in Finance / Accounting / Business / Economics / Maritime Business / Real Estate Business / International Trade or equivalent.
- 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in any one of the following areas: (1) ship finance or other asset-backed financing; (2) corporate banking, loan portfolio management, loan agency, or loan documentation-related function in a bank; (3) audit & assurance, corporate finance or tax advisory experience in an audit firm; (4) treasury/corporate finance function in a shipping/aviation/real estate/logistics/energy commodities company, or Japanese companies; or (5) M&A experience in the area of financial due diligence.
- Career switchers and career returners with relevant experience are encouraged to apply.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite especially Excel.
- Familiarity with the use of Bloomberg Terminal is an added advantage.
