Senior Corporate Counsel, Real Estate
Based onsite in St. Petersburg, FL
We are seeking an experienced Senior Corporate Counsel, Real Estate to support Jabil’s global real estate portfolio. This role provides legal oversight and transactional support for commercial and industrial real estate matters across Jabil’s manufacturing, warehouse, office, and R&D facilities worldwide. The position partners with Global Real Estate, Operations, Treasury, Finance, Tax, and regional leadership to support lease negotiations, site expansions, acquisitions, dispositions, and related real estate risk management activities. The role reports to the Associate General Counsel, Global Real Estate and will be based in St. Petersburg, Florida.
What can you expect to do?
Serve as legal advisor for real estate transactions, including negotiation and administration of commercial and industrial leases.
Support facility expansions, renewals, amendments, consolidations, and site exits across multiple regions.
Draft and negotiate architect agreements, construction contracts, and related project documentation in support of large-scale facility projects and capital initiatives.
Provide legal support for property acquisitions and dispositions, including coordination of diligence activities such as title, survey, zoning, land use, and environmental review.
Advise on and oversee real estate-related environmental matters, including permitting, remediation, compliance obligations, and coordination with EHS and external environmental consultants.
Draft and negotiate lease provisions, work letters, landlord consents, assignment and sublease agreements, and related documentation.
Partner with Global Real Estate and Finance to evaluate transaction structures and ensure appropriate allocation of legal and operational risk.
Coordinate with regional counsel and external advisors to ensure compliance with local real estate laws and regulatory requirements.
Support resolution of landlord-tenant disputes, construction-related matters, and lease compliance issues.
Maintain and update standardized lease templates and documentation practices to promote consistency and risk management across the global portfolio.
Advise business leaders on real estate-related contractual exposure, long-term obligations, and operational flexibility considerations.
Monitor developments in real estate law and market practices that may impact Jabil’s global property portfolio.
What is the experience needed to be successful in this role?
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
6-8 years of experience in commercial real estate law, whether law firm or in-house experience.
Member of a bar in good standing in a U.S. jurisdiction (Florida preferred).
Experience negotiating complex commercial and industrial leases.
Ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously in a fast-paced, global environment.
Strong analytical skills with demonstrated ability to interpret complex regulatory frameworks and apply them in operational settings.
Ability to communicate complex legal requirements clearly to non-legal stakeholders.
Willingness to collaborate across global time zones; limited travel may be required in support of strategic transactions or site initiatives.

Requirements
What is the experience needed to be successful in this role?
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
6-8 years of experience in commercial real estate law, whether law firm or in-house experience.
