Are You a Retirement Plan Professional Looking for Greater Impact?
Join Kennedy Krieger as a Retirement Specialist and serve as a key subject matter expert responsible for the administration, compliance, governance, and operational integrity of retirement programs. You'll partner with HR, Payroll, HRIS, leadership, and external vendors to ensure accurate plan administration while helping employees build financial security for the future.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of direct retirement plan administration experience.
- Experience managing 401(k) plans, retirement compliance, and plan operations.
- Experience auditing contributions, reconciling payroll deductions, and resolving discrepancies.
- Associate degree in Human Resources or a related field.
- Ability to obtain the Certified Plan Sponsor Professional (CPSP) credential within one year of hire.
Preferred
- CEBS and/or CPSP certification.
- Bachelor's degree.
- Healthcare industry experience.
What You'll Do
- Administer the 401(k) plan in compliance with plan documents, ERISA requirements, and organizational policies.
- Monitor eligibility, enrollment, contributions, catch-up provisions, and IRS limits.
- Lead retirement plan audits, reconciliations, reporting, and compliance reviews.
- Oversee Form 5500 preparation, regulatory filings, participant notices, and related compliance activity.
- Administer the Institute's frozen pension plan, including benefit calculations, distributions, valuations, and participant communications.
- Partner with Payroll, HRIS, Benefits, and external vendors to maintain plan accuracy and data integrity.
- Support retirement plan governance, committee meetings, and strategic decision-making.
- Deliver retirement education and financial wellness initiatives for employees.
