Experience career growth and make your mark in a fast-paced, evolving environment.As a Python Data Operations Analyst, you will perform critical support functions including data input, validation, reconciliation, and export of loan data files. You will collaborate with internal teams and business stakeholders to optimize operational workflows and develop automation solutions. Your role will focus on maintaining system integrity, supporting business migrations, and ensuring compliance with financial controls. You will contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and help promote operational excellence.
Job Responsibilities
- Build and maintain Python automations (data checks, transformations, reconciliations, reporting outputs) to reduce manual effort and cycle time.
- Apply disciplined practices in Python (code reviews, unit testing, documentation) to reduce defects and improve auditability.
- Execute and continuously improve daily/weekly/monthly processes for loan data ingestion, validation, reconciliation, exception management, and file exports.
- Use Python and SQL to extract, compare, and reconcile datasets across sources; quantify breaks and drive issue resolution.
- Implement and monitor data quality controls (completeness, accuracy, timeliness), including evidence capture and audit-ready documentation.
- Maintain system configurations/variables aligned with approved business requirements and change controls.
- Partner effectively with global, cross-functional teams, aligning expectations across time zones and communication styles.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- 1+ years of hands-on programming experience in data operations, analytics and automation, using Python
- College degree in Finance or Business Administration
- Strong Python proficiency for data processing (e.g., pandas), including writing maintainable code for ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) -style workflows, validations, and reconciliations.
- Strong SQL for data extraction and analysis; comfortable reconciling large datasets and investigating anomalies.
- Proven ability to manage operational workflows with discipline: prioritization, SLAs, controls, and timely delivery.
- Demonstrated cross-cultural stakeholder management skills: clear written updates, structured escalation, expectation-setting, and effective collaboration across regions/time zones.
- Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills; ability to drive issues to closure with partner teams.
- Advanced Excel capability (pivots/Power Query; VBA a plus).
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate between business needs and technical implementation.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Experience with loan/mortgage concepts and lifecycle (servicing, pricing, trading, bulk sales, securitizations).
- Experience with orchestration/scheduling/monitoring patterns for batch processes (alerts, metrics, failure handling).
- Familiarity with Alteryx/SAS (nice-to-have for reporting and ad hoc analysis).
- Expertise in Tableau for (dashboard design, calculated metrics, publishing)
- Exposure to disciplined development practices (Git/version control, testing, peer review, documentation).
- Experience supporting migrations or major process change initiatives in a controlled environment (UAT, parallel run, sign-offs).
