Description
Sterling Grove, located in Surprise, AZ, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a full-time Pool Supervisor/Porter! We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast-paced hospitality-focused property organization. As part of Troon, you'll contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.General Purpose:
Manages the day-to-day operation, maintenance, and administration of the club's aquatic facility. Ensures that all appropriate water health and safety standards are maintained. Supervises the safety and cleanliness of the club swimming pool and facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provides a comfortable, safe pool environment for members and guests
- Coordinates the administration of the facility
- Ensures all members and guests are properly logged and billed
- Manages the facility to prevent non-members from entering
- Maintains equipment inventory and notifies manager when equipment and supplies are needed for the implementation of various programs
- Properly cares for and stores aquatic equipment; keeps storage area neat, clean, and in safe working order
- Registers all members at the pool and charges for all guests, lessons, and activities
- Enforces club rules of safety and conduct
- Maintains all necessary records concerning pool attendance, accident reports, and problem-member reports
- Maintains a fully stocked first aid kit
- Reviews guests' comments and event concerns
- Incorporates safe work practices in job performance
- Maintains regular and reliable attendance
- Performs other duties as required
Minimum Qualifications:
- Ability to make administrative and procedural decisions and judgments
- Skill in the use of personal computers and related software applications
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with membership and staff
- Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
Experience/Education:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Working Conditions and Physical Effort:
- Moderate physical activity; requires handling of objects up to 50 pounds, or standing and/or walking for more than four (4) hours per day
- Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions
- Work may involve moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, humid conditions, dirt, dust, fumes, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises
- Frequently uses hands, talks, and hears
- Regularly stands and sits
- Occasionally walks, reaches with hands and arms, climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crouches, crawls, tastes, or smells
