Description
Role Overview: We are partnering with a highly successful, fast-growing Private Equity firm with an AUM of USD $2-3 Billion to recruit a Manager / Senior Manager for their finance team. Reporting to the Finance Director, this role takes ownership of the fund accounting and operations for multiple investment vehicles. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical knowledge of closed-ended fund structures and hands-on experience in managing complex GP/LP dynamics.Key Responsibilities:
- Fund Accounting & Operations: Manage the full spectrum of fund accounting processes, including NAV calculation, management fee, and carried interest/waterfall calculations.
- Capital Mechanics: Oversee and execute capital calls, distributions, and equalization processes accurately and in a timely manner.
- Service Provider Oversight: Act as the primary liaison with external fund administrators, ensuring SLAs are met and resolving any complex accounting queries.
- LP Reporting & Relations: Prepare and review quarterly and annual financial statements, capital account statements, and customized performance reports (IRR, MOIC) for Limited Partners.
- Audit & Tax: Coordinate annual fund audits and tax filings, partnering with external auditors and tax advisors across various jurisdictions (e.g., Cayman Islands, HK).
- Process Enhancement: Drive automation and system enhancement projects to streamline fund reporting workflows and strengthen internal controls.
Key Requirements:
- Education & Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline. Qualified Accountant (CPA, ACCA, or equivalent) is required.
- Experience: 6 to 10 years of relevant experience. A background combining Big 4 audit (Asset Management / PE focused) and in-house PE/Fund Accounting experience is highly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Extensive knowledge of private equity fund structures, IFRS/US GAAP, and complex waterfall mechanics.
- Attributes: Detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of thriving in a lean, high-performing team environment.
- Language: Fluent in Cantonese, English and Mandarin.
