Description

We are partnering with an established organization to hire a qualified lawyer to join their Singapore office as part of the Legal team. Reporting to the General Counsel, this role offers broad exposure across commercial, real estate, compliance, and dispute-related matters, providing a dynamic and varied in-house experience within a fast-paced international environment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Provide legal advice and support on commercial transactions, contractual matters, and day-to-day business operations.
2. Support a range of real estate-related matters, including leasing, property management, asset management, vendor agreements, and operational matters.
3. Draft, review, negotiate, and maintain a variety of commercial and real estate-related agreements and legal templates.
4. Assist with real estate transactions, due diligence exercises, and the review of transaction documentation where required.
5. Support contract lifecycle management and legal risk assessment activities.
6. Assist with dispute resolution and claims management, liaising with external counsel where required.
7. Advise internal stakeholders on corporate, regulatory, governance, and compliance matters.
8. Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of compliance policies, procedures, and internal controls.
9. Conduct legal research and provide commercially focused recommendations on legal and regulatory developments.
10. Partner with business teams to identify legal risks and develop practical solutions.

Requirements

1. Qualified lawyer with at least 2 years of post-qualification experience, preferably across a mix of private practice and in-house roles.
2. Experience in commercial contracts, with exposure to real estate, leasing, property, or infrastructure-related matters viewed favourably.
3. Strong expertise in contract drafting, negotiation, and stakeholder management, with the ability to deliver pragmatic, solution-focused legal advice.
4. Experience handling cross-border matters and collaborating with diverse regional teams.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Solid commercial acumen and a practical approach to problem-solving.
