- Human Resources Specialist
Description
Under direction of the Human Resources Manager and Director, performs a variety of clerical support, administrative and accounting functions for the department. Acts as a liaison between the employees and insurance companies concerning benefit issues. Coordinates human resource functions including recruiting, employee interviews, employee recognition programs, placing ads, organizing and administering tests, processing status changes, hiring processes, employee enrollments/changes, information dissemination, processing invoices for payment and preparing reports. Also, assists in the development of interview questions for internal and external job applicants. Serves as the primary source for the onboarding of new employees. Assists in running the Human Resources Department in the absence of the HR Manager and/or Director. Will triage employee traffic in the HR Department.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree – BBA with concentration in Human Resources, Business, Psychology or equivalent required.
- Proficient in the use of computers or computer-based equipment required.
- Five or more years of experience with human resources administration, accounting and/or clerical duties. File maintenance experience is required. Some exposure to working with collective bargaining agreements, surveys, time-keeping systems, or payroll preferred.
