TYPE OF POSITION: Full-time; evenings and weekends may be required

JOB SUMMARY
The Human Resources (HR) Generalist reports to the Chief Human Resources Officer and provides hands-on support across core HR operations for ECS’s workforce. This role coordinates day-to-day HR activities spanning onboarding and employee lifecycle transactions, HRIS data integrity and personnel records management, benefits and leave administration support, recruiting coordination, policy and employment law compliance, and employee relations support (including investigations as needed). The HR Generalist partners closely with the Payroll & Benefits Manager by ensuring timely and accurate HRIS/personnel transaction data and documentation required for payroll and benefits administration; however, this role does not process payroll or manage timekeeping.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).Minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities listed.SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work effectively with staff across diverse roles and program settings.Sound judgment and discretion when handling sensitive matters; ability to protect confidential information.Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a changing environment.Working knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations; ability to apply policies consistently.Ability to analyze complex information, define problems, and recommend practical solutions.Experience with HRIS systems and strong attention to detail in data/records management (ADP experience preferred).Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, and SharePoint).Ability to develop and support delivery of training programs and materials.OTHER DUTIES

WORKING ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Sedentary work. Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Repetitive motion. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards.
TRAVEL REQUIRED
Travel is generally required between ECS locations. Occasional travel may be required for training, cross-functional team meetings, and agency-wide events.
