Description

A leading Asian banking group is looking for a Head of Finance to lead the finance function for its Hong Kong corporate banking business. This is a senior, hands-on leadership role for someone who wants ownership of the full finance agenda for a growing regional franchise, with strong visibility to both local management and regional head office.

What you'll do:

1. Own financial reporting, planning, and analysis for the corporate banking business in Hong Kong
2. Partner with the business heads on budgeting, forecasting, and performance management
3. Ensure regulatory and statutory reporting is accurate, timely, and fully compliant with local requirements
4. Strengthen internal controls, governance, and finance processes as the business scales
5. Act as the key finance point of contact for local regulators, auditors, and regional finance leadership

What you'll bring:

1. A qualified accountant (CPA, ACCA, or equivalent) with a strong track record in banking finance
2. Deep experience in a corporate or wholesale banking environment, ideally within Hong Kong or the wider APAC region
3. Experience in managing a team
4. Excellent communication skills
5. Solid grasp of HKMA regulatory reporting and local statutory requirements
6. A confident leader who can manage a team, influence senior stakeholders, and operate across a regional matrix
7. English and Mandarin speaking fluency
