We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to contribute and grow within a fast-paced hospitality-focused property organization. As part of Troon, you'll contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.Salary: $220,000 annually
Position Overview:
Talking Rock Ranch is seeking an exceptional General Manager (GM) to lead one of Arizona's premier private residential golf communities. The GM serves as the strategic and operational leader of the Club, responsible for delivering an outstanding member experience, driving financial performance, and cultivating a high-performing team culture. This role requires a visible, relationship-driven leader who can balance member engagement, operational excellence, and strategic growth, while partnering closely with the Ownership and Troon leadership.

Position Summary:
The General Manager is responsible for all aspects of club operations, including:
- Golf Operations
- Food & Beverage
- Agronomy
- Membership & Marketing
- Finance & Administration
- Activities & Fitness
- Facilities & Amenities
The GM ensures alignment across all departments to deliver a consistent, elevated member experience.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Leadership & Culture:
- Build and lead a high-performing leadership team
- Establish a culture of accountability, service excellence, and collaboration
- Recruit, develop, and retain top talent across all departments
- Lead with presence and visibility, engaging members and associates daily
2. Member Experience:
- Champion a best-in-class member experience
- Maintain strong, authentic relationships with members
- Respond proactively to feedback and continuously improve service delivery
- Ensure consistency across all touchpoints (golf, dining, events, amenities)
3. Financial Management:
- Develop and execute the annual operating and capital budgets
- Drive performance toward NOI targets and long-term financial health
- Monitor key metrics including:
- Labor cost management
- F&B cost of sales
- Membership growth and retention
- Ensure accurate, timely financial reporting
4. Organizational Partnership:
- Serve as the primary liaison to the Ownership Stakeholders
- Provide clear, concise, and strategic communication
- Align operational execution with the Club's strategic plan
5. Operations Excellence:
- Ensure seamless execution across all departments
- Maintain high standards in:
- Golf operations and course conditions
- Dining quality and service
- Facilities maintenance and aesthetics
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and operational efficiencies
6. Membership & Revenue Growth:
- Partner on membership sales strategy and positioning
- Support marketing and communications efforts
- Enhance programming and events to drive engagement and usage
- Strengthen the Club's brand within the Prescott market
7. Capital Planning & Projects:
- Collaborate on long-term capital planning
- Oversee execution of approved capital projects
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and aligned with member expectations
Qualifications & Experience:
Required:
- Minimum 7-10+ years of senior leadership experience in private club, resort, or hospitality management
- Proven success as a General Manager or senior department leader
- Strong financial acumen and operational expertise
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams and drive culture
Preferred:
- Experience in residential golf communities
- Familiarity with Troon systems and platform (preferred but not required)
- Bachelor's degree in hospitality, business, or related field
