Fred Enke Golf Course, located in Tucson, AZ, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a full-time Food and Beverage Manager! We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast-paced hospitality-focused property organization. Position Summary:
The Food and Beverage Manager is a vital part of our management team and is responsible for overseeing all Food and Beverage (F&B) activities at the property. This involves setting budgets, bringing on new staff, training them, and making sure they are performing at their best. The F&B Manager will use all skills and insights to ensure guests are always happy and satisfied, sometimes even exceeding their expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provides daily management of the Front of House F&B Department
- Hires, supervises, and develops bartenders, beverage cart drivers, snack bar attendants, and other employees in the Front of House F&B Department
- Conducts training and refresher classes for all Front of House F&B personnel in the correct procedures
- Provides daily oversight of Front of House F&B accounting procedures
- Manages forecasting and budgets pertaining to F&B operations
- Maintains cost controls and conducts a monthly inventory
- Implements and maintains F&B sales and marketing programs
- Develops and implements marketing programs to increase banquet business
- Manages alcohol and beverage ordering; follows the purchase order (PO) buying process
- Oversees quality assurance, guest service, and training of all employees
- Upholds Troon Food and Beverage policies
- Institutes and implements all Troon Human Resources guidelines
- Facilitates coordination between all departments
- Develops and implements creative strategies to increase revenues
- Plans and coordinates special events and functions
- Responsible for overall guest satisfaction
- Ensures all employees are conducting themselves in a professional manner
- Performs daily walk-through to ensure full compliance with Department of Health regulations
- Complies with applicable health, alcoholic beverage, fire, and other local and state laws
- Oversees closing procedures and appropriate cash handling practices
- Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must have one to three years of related experience in F&B management
- Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Knowledge of pertinent health regulations and liquor laws
- Must have food and beverage, à la carte, and banquet experience
- Must have strong business aptitude
- Must have strong service orientation
- Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must be highly organized, efficient, and detail-oriented
- Must have exceptional interpersonal skills
Working Conditions:
- Physical activity including long periods (6-8 hours) of standing, walking, bending, and scooping
- The employee will regularly be required to reach with arms and hands
- The employee will occasionally be required to lift up to 50 pounds
- Use of sight, reading, and wrist movement to serve meals and beverages, operate food service equipment, and clean food service areas
- Specific vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral vision, and depth perception
- Work extended hours during golf and holiday season
