Your senior finance skills are required for this niche legal team!Your new company
An established and growing professional services firm is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to oversee financial operations, trust accounting compliance, management reporting, payroll, and general accounting functions.This is a hands-on role offering variety, autonomy, and the opportunity to work closely with senior leadership while contributing to the ongoing success of a highly regarded business.
Your new role

• Prepare monthly management reports including P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow and KPI reporting
• Manage multi-entity accounting and reporting
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting
• Oversee trust account receipting, payments and reconciliations
• Manage billing, invoicing and debtor management
• Perform bank reconciliations across trust and office accounts
• Ensure compliance with legal trust accounting requirements
• Assist with trust account audits and regulatory reporting
• Liaise with external accountants and auditors
• Manage BAS preparation and general accounts administration
• Process payroll, STP and PAYG obligations
• Support year-end financial reporting and compliance activities

What you'll need

• Previous experience in a legal finance or legal accounts role
• Strong understanding of legal trust accounting requirements
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
• Strong organisational and time management abilities
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills

Desirable Experience

• Experience with Xero, Smokeball and/or Employment Hero
• Relevant accounting, finance or business qualifications
