Family Law Associate Attorney
The law firm of Gullett Sanford Robinson & Martin PLLC (GSRM Law) seeks to employ an associate attorney in its family law practice section in Nashville, TN.
Essential Functions, Duties and Responsibilities:
- Advocate for clients in all phases of family law matters, including divorce, child custody, parenting plans, child support, alimony, and post-divorce proceedings.
- Manage cases from initial consultation through final resolution, including negotiation, mediation, and trial.
- Draft, review, and revise pleadings, discovery, motions, parenting plans, and settlement agreements.
- Take and defend depositions of parties, experts, and third-party witnesses; prepare clients for testimony; and strategically use deposition testimony to support case development and trial preparation.
- Represent clients in court hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials.
- Provide strategic legal counsel while guiding clients through sensitive and often emotional matters.
- Conduct legal research and stay current on developments in family law statutes and case law.
- Communicate professionally and responsively with clients, attorneys, and support staff.
- Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals and support staff to ensure efficient case management.

Requirements
Qualifications – Education, Experience & Skills:
- Admission to the Tennessee Bar.
- 3 to 5 years of family law litigation experience preferred.
- Strong oral advocacy and legal writing abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to client service, empathy, confidentiality, and professionalism.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
