Job Description
Our mission is to ensure club members and their guests experience an extraordinary event journey through seamlessly executed celebrations, bespoke hospitality, and personalized service excellence. Our commitment to everything we do inspires us to guarantee the ultimate environment for weddings, private banquets, tournaments, and curated club functions.
Ideal candidates have flexible schedules with availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays during event seasons. This role includes competitive compensation starting at $9.00 per hour plus tips / event service gratuity.
Our team maintains strong protocols to keep you and our patrons safe, allowing you to focus on guest experience, camaraderie, and seamless event flow.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a professional appearance and warm demeanor at all times
- Provide prompt, courteous, and efficient service to members and event guests
- Assist with the setup, breakdown, and reset of event spaces, including banquet tables, chairs, linens, centerpieces, and service stations
- Display knowledge of event menus, service styles (buffet, plated, family-style, passing hors d'oeuvres), and beverage offerings
- Serve food and beverages to event attendees in an accurate, timely, and polished manner
- Follow established steps of service and maintain high service standards per provided training
- Adhere to all sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies
- Monitor event spaces throughout functions to clear used glassware, dishware, and debris, keeping tables and stations clean and organized
- Attentively check in on guests to ensure satisfaction and replenish beverage or food stations as required
- Listen to and address guest inquiries or concerns promptly, escalating to event managers as necessary
- Perform post-event cleanup, equipment breakdown, and closing procedures as assigned by management
- Perform all other duties assigned by the Event Manager or Supervisor
Education and Experience Requirements
- 1-2 years of event, banquet, or hospitality service experience
- Minimum education: High School (or equivalent) Diploma
- Understanding of elevated banquet service standards and private event dynamics
- Must be of legal age to serve alcohol according to state law
- Possess excellent customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Highly dependable with strong attention to detail
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy event environment
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team setting
Working Conditions
- Physical activity including extended periods (6-8 hours) of standing, walking, bending, reaching, and carrying service trays
- Must be able to regularly lift, push, or carry event equipment and trays up to 30 lbs
- Use of sight, hand-eye coordination, and wrist movement to serve food/beverages and set up event equipment
- Specific vision abilities required include close, distance, color, peripheral vision, and depth perception
- Noise levels range from quiet to lively depending on the nature of the event
- Must have flexible availability to work extended hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays during peak event seasons
