LSSI is hiring a full-time Employee Experience and Engagement Specialist supporting the design, implementation, and coordination of programs and initiatives that enhance the employee experience across the entire employee lifecycle, including onboarding, engagement, recognition, communication, and retention.
Working in collaboration with the Director of Employee Experience and Engagement, the Specialist helps execute engagement strategies, collect and analyze employee feedback, coordinate employee recognition initiatives, and support life-event and wellness programs that strengthen LSSI’s culture and mission.

Requirements
Essential Functions:
- Coordinate employee experience and engagement initiatives across the employee lifecycle, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Administer and manage the support of the Gallup Q12 employee engagement survey process, including tracking participation, supporting action planning, and monitoring follow-through.
- Compile, track, and analyze employee feedback data to identify trends and opportunities to improve employee engagement.
- Develop recommendations based on data insights and communicate findings to the Director and VP HR to support informed decision-making.
- Coordinate employee recognition initiatives, including milestone recognition, appreciation programs, and organizational recognition events.
- Facilitate engagement-related meetings, including committees, subcommittees, and employee listening sessions.
- Maintain tracking systems and documentation related to engagement programs, recognition programs, and employee feedback.
- Collaborate with HR, Communications, Leadership Development, and other departments to support engagement initiatives and employee experience strategies.
- Assist in monitoring engagement program effectiveness and preparing reports or summaries for leadership.
- Demonstrate professionalism, integrity, and collaboration in working with employees, leadership, and external partners.
- Support the coordination of employee events, engagement activities, and recognition initiatives.
- Serve as a point of contact for employees with questions related to engagement initiatives and programs.
- Assist with vendor coordination and logistical arrangements for engagement-related programs.
- Maintain program materials, documentation, and internal resources related to employee experience initiatives.
- Assist with scheduling meetings and preparing materials for engagement committees and leadership discussions.
- Respond to inquiries and communications in a timely and professional manner.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Position Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in social work, human resources, business administration, communications or related field preferred. (required)
- Masters preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience required.
- Experience collecting and analyzing employee feedback data.
- Experience facilitating meetings or focus groups.
- Strong organizational and project coordination skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and collaborate across departments and levels of leadership.
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments and support multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism when handling employee-related matters.
- Excellent organization, presentation and pc/computer skills, including experience using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) along with other related software.
- Valid driver’s license, in good standing for the state of residency required.
- Access to reliable transportation is required.
- Valid IL statutory minimum liability insurance coverage, bodily injury and property damage required.
