Job DescriptionThe Employee and Organizational Success Senior Consultant is a strategic collaborator responsible for advancing organizational effectiveness, employee development, and a culture of inclusion and belonging within Administration and Finance. This role integrates organizational development, learning and development, and program management to deliver impactful, enterprise-wide initiatives grounded in A&F's WISER Guiding Principles.
Under the leadership of the Executive Director of Employee and Organizational Success Office, the consultant operates with a high degree of independence, influencing strategy while also ensuring excellence in execution, from large-scale interventions to day-to-day program operations. This role plays a critical part in fostering an equitable workplace where all employees can thrive.

Primary Duties:
Employee Success & Inclusion
- Integrate employee success principles into all aspects of organizational development, learning, and program design.
- Partner with leadership to advance fair, effective, and consistent policies, practices, and systems across the organization.
- Design and deliver training and initiatives that promote cultural competence, inclusive leadership, and a culture of belonging.
- Support and provide administrative and programmatic coordination for employee communities and engagement initiatives.
- Use data and stakeholder feedback to identify gaps and recommend strategies to improve employee experience and organizational outcomes.
Organizational Development & Consulting
- Conduct organizational assessments, diagnostics, and needs analyses to identify opportunities aligned with strategic and employee success priorities.
- Provide consulting and coaching to leaders, teams, and departments; develop and implement targeted action plans that strengthen effectiveness, fairness, and organizational performance.
- Design and facilitate large-scale interventions to strengthen organizational culture, team performance, and a culture of inclusion and belonging.
- Build organizational capability through implementation of evidence-based solutions and evaluate their effectiveness.
- Manage distribution of organizational assessments, data collection, and implementation of action plans.
- Manage logistics and provide support for team workshops, interventions, and consulting engagements.
Learning & Development
- Design, develop, deliver, and evaluate training programs - both in-person and virtual - that enhance employee competencies and foster inclusive leadership for employees and leaders at all levels.
- Manage comprehensive training initiatives or curricula tailored to diverse audiences and organizational needs.
- Assess and select appropriate instructional methodologies, including instructor-led, eLearning, and blended learning formats.
- Develop and update comprehensive training materials-including presentations, guides, job aids, and multimedia content-using adult learning theory and inclusive design principles.
- Facilitate in-person and virtual learning events for employees, leaders, and UMB community.
Program Management & Operations
- Plan, administer, and coordinate professional development and education programs, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities, timelines, and budgets.
- Coordinate, design, and manage day-to-day training and learning operations, including scheduling, room reservations, materials preparation, supply management, and program file maintenance.
- Manage the training calendar and track training participation and completion metrics.
- Oversee logistics for workshops, meetings, conferences, and special events, including venue selection, catering coordination, and on-site support.
- Coordinate program activities through delegation and collaboration with staff, contractors, and stakeholders.
- Monitor vendor and consultant performance to ensure compliance with work plans and deliverables.

Communication & Engagement
- Serve as the communication and marketing lead for training and organizational success initiatives.
- Develop and execute comprehensive communication strategies to promote training and events through email campaigns, social marketing, and digital content.

- Serve as the primary point of contact for training programs, overseeing participant registration, responding to inquiries, and coordinating communications and reminders.
- Represent programs through presentations, reports, and stakeholder engagement activities.
Data, Evaluation & Continuous Improvement
- Perform data collection, tracking, analysis, and reporting on training metrics, participation, and feedback to evaluate program effectiveness and support informed decision-making.
- Design and administer surveys and feedback tools; analyze results to produce actionable insights and reports.
- Recommend and implement continuous improvements to programs, systems, and processes.
- Support continuous improvement efforts based on data and stakeholder input.
Employee Success
- Champion employee success by integrating inclusive practices into training, programs, and organizational processes.
- Provide management and administrative support for employee success initiatives, including coordination and engagement of employee communities.
- Facilitate employee success training and track participation and outcomes to support continuous improvement.

Scope of Role
- This role applies advanced knowledge of organizational development, human resources, and adult learning with a focus on employee success and workplace inclusion. The consultant operates with substantial independence, exercising judgment, discretion, and creativity to address complex organizational challenges.

Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in human resources, Organizational Development, Education, Business Administration, or related field (master's preferred).
Experience: Three (3) years of experience in organizational development, learning & development, HR consulting, DEI, or related field.
Other: Except for qualifications established by law, additional related experience and formal education in which one has gained the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for full performance of the work of the job class may be substituted for the education or experience requirement on a year-for-year basis with 30 undergraduate college credits being equivalent to one year of related experience. In instances where specific education and/or experience is required only directly related education and/or experience may be substituted.
Preferred:
- Preferred Experience: Prior experience in program management, training design, and facilitation

- Strong analytical, communication, and strategic thinking skills.

- Experience in higher education or complex organizations.
Hiring Range: $70,000 - $80,000, commensurate with education and experience
