Position Summary: Invocon is seeking a motivated, detailoriented, and proactive Contracts Manager to oversee the full lifecycle of customer, vendor, and government contracts. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with contract and regulatory requirements, reducing contractual risk, supporting proposal development, and maintaining accurate documentation. The Contracts Manager will work closely with executive leadership, program managers, finance, and engineering teams to ensure contracts are executed efficiently and strategically.
Primary Responsibilities
- Candidates should have progressive experience providing cradle-to-grave contract administration for various CP, FFP, T&M Government contracts and commercial industry contracts including RFP analysis, hands-on proposal development including the development of terms and conditions, coordination of appropriate internal reviews, contract negotiation, and contract/task order administration and execution.
- Responsible for overall contract compliance of assigned tasks in accordance with contract requirements, company policy and procedures, and applicable laws. Candidate must be able to work independently as well as part of a team supporting proposal preparation and a portfolio of contracts.
Manage, review, and negotiate customer, vendor, and subcontractor contracts. - Ensure compliance with corporate policies, legal standards, and applicable regulations, including FAR and FAR Supplements (i.e. DFARS, DEARS, NFS) for government contracts.
- Oversee the creation, maintenance, and tracking of all contract documentation and modifications.
- Support proposal development by reviewing RFPs, identifying contractual requirements, and preparing contractrelated inputs.
- Provide guidance and advice on contractual terms, risk areas, and mitigation strategies to internal teams and corporate management.
- Ability to review and analyze RFP's in coordination with proposal and business development personnel, prepare compliant and cost/price proposals, and represent Invocon’s interests during negotiations and contract administration. Collaborate with program managers to ensure contractual obligations are met throughout the project lifecycle.
- Maintain contract status reports and oversee contract closeout processes.
Interface with customers and suppliers on contract matters as needed. - Assist with internal process development and improvements related to contracting and compliance.
Identify and mitigate contract risks as well as coordinate appropriate reviews in accordance with Company policy and procedures. - Review and negotiate Teaming Agreements, NDAs and licenses as required, prepare compliant and complete Contracts Volumes and OCI Plans, and represent Company’s interests during negotiations and contract administration.
Coordinate with outside counsel on complex contractual transactions.
Requirements
Required Qualifications
- Requires a BA degree and 8+ or more years of prior relevant experience; or a Masters with 6-10 + years of prior relevant experience.
- Expert knowledge of contract law, FAR/DFARS, and general compliance requirements.
- Experience with Government (FARS / DFAR) contracting: Fixed Price (FP), Time & Material (T&M), Cost Plus Award Fee (CPAF), Cost Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF), Level of Effort (LOE), Indefinite Delivery / Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) and General Service Administration (GSA) type contracts.
- High proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook and PDF programs such as Adobe or Foxit.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- High attention to detail, analytical capability, and organizational strength.
- Ability to manage multiple contracts simultaneously in a fastpaced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Completion of formal contracting coursework or certification. CPCM Certification a plus.
- Experience supporting engineering, aerospace, defense, or technical organizations.
- Familiarity with proposal processes in government contracting.
- Technical aptitude or experience coordinating with engineeringdriven teams.
- Demonstrated experience in negotiating complex contractual issues on active contracts.
- Established network within aerospace, defense, or related highreliability industries.
