Primary Function
The Consulting and Training Specialist delivers consulting engagements and professional development programming that support nonprofit leaders across Oklahoma. This position is a key team member for the Center's training and consulting services and is expected to deliver course instruction in both public seminars and consulting engagements. Working closely with the Director of Consulting and Training, this role contributes to curriculum design and instruction for in-person, online, and hybrid learning, as well as conferences, summits, and networking events that facilitate learning. This role is primarily responsible for the delivery, quality, and client satisfaction of assigned consulting engagements and training sessions.

Requirements

Essential Functions
Consulting Engagement Delivery and Facilitation Service

•         Deliver consulting engagements with nonprofit organizations across Oklahoma, including assessment, planning, and facilitation services, as assigned
•         Serve as a point of contact for assigned consulting engagements, working with internal teams to scope projects, confirm deliverables, and maintain              strong client relationships throughout the engagement lifecycle to ensure quality, timelines, and measurable outcomes.
•         Provide reliable counsel to nonprofit leaders based on best practices for managing professionals and boards of directors.
•         Facilitate strategic planning processes for nonprofit organizations and deliver training to boards of directors to strengthen governance practices.
•         Provide staff and team development support, including coaching and group facilitation.
•         Track engagement progress, outcomes, and utilization data to support reporting on the Center’s consulting services.
•         Contribute subject-matter expertise to the development of consulting service lines addressing emerging sector needs, including governance,                          leadership transitions, strategic planning, financial management, and organizational effectiveness.
•         Participate in “train the trainer” opportunities and use consulting and coaching skills internally to support Oklahoma Center for Nonprofits staff and              leadership, as requested.
•         Collaborate with marketing, membership, and external affairs teams as needed to support promotion of consulting services.

Training Delivery

•        Provide instruction or facilitation for courses and programs, particularly those aligned with consulting service areas, including the Nonprofit                           Management Certification Program, Standards for Excellence, the semi-annual Nonprofit Law and Finance Conference, Leadership and Innovation, and         general workshops and webinars.
•         Contribute to curriculum design and program development for in-person, online, and hybrid learning.
•         Support the Programs team with course logistics, participant engagement, and program evaluation as assigned.
•         Provide input on course design adjustments based on evaluation feedback.

•         Participate in the Center’s special events, including ONE and Visions, as requested.
•         Represent the Center’s values in working with clients and colleagues.
•         Other duties as may be assigned by the Director of Consulting and Training.

Education and Expertise

•         Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university preferred. In lieu of a degree, relevant job experience will be accepted upon approval from            the President and CEO.
•         A minimum of 5 years of professional experience working in the nonprofit sector is required.
•         Experience in related fields—training and development, adult education, instructional design, nonprofit consulting, or nonprofit leadership—is                      preferred.
•         Ability to transfer subject-matter knowledge to course design and curriculum.
•         Proficient in Microsoft Office products.
•         Strong communication skills (verbal, written, presentation).
