Description
What You’ll Do
Operational Leadership: Translate strategic plan into clear annual goals, KPIs, budgets, and operating rhythms; build dashboards and reviews to track performance and risk.
Retail (ReStore) Operations: Lead multisite retail strategy, including donation acquisition, logistics, pricing/merchandising, inventory turns, store presentation, volunteer integration, and customer experience to grow mission margin and visibility.
Mortgage Management: Oversee compliant origination and servicing (escrow, collections/lossmitigation, fair lending, privacy, and reporting); align processes with Homeowner Services and Finance to support successful homeownership.
Information Technology: Own systems architecture and reliability (POS/ERP, CRM, HRIS, mortgage/servicing platforms, collaboration tools); drive data integrity, user training, access controls, and cybersecurity best practices.
Human Resources & Safety: Oversee recruitment, onboarding, performance management, compensation/benefits administration, training, and employee relations; foster an equitable, safetyfirst culture including OSHA compliance and incident prevention.
Facilities & Assets: Manage offices, warehouses, trucks, and store facilities; ensure preventative maintenance, security, insurance, and vendor management; plan capital projects.
Process Improvement: Map and optimize crossfunctional workflows (donations logistics, store operations, construction interfaces, mortgage servicing); champion continuous improvement and change management.
Budget & Compliance: Coown operating budgets; monitor variances; maintain internal controls and policy compliance across retail, lending, IT, HR, and facilities.
People Leadership: Build and coach a strong management team; set clear accountabilities; develop frontline leaders and highperforming teams across multiple sites.
Community & Mission Integration: Ensure operations reflect Habitat values and advance impact—welcoming volunteers, stewarding donors, and delivering excellent family service.
What You’ll Bring to the Table
Enterprise operator with a builder’s mindset—able to scale systems, teams, and processes across multisite retail and program environments.
Proven experience improving margins and customer experience in retail/logistics or field operations while safeguarding mission and brand.
Working knowledge of mortgage origination/servicing operations and compliance, or adjacent regulated operations with ability to learn quickly.
Fluency with business systems (POS/ERP, CRM, HRIS, mortgage/servicing, collaboration tools) and comfort leading data quality and analytics.
Inclusive, handson leadership style; strong coaching, changemanagement, and conflictresolution skills.
Financial acumen with discipline around budgets, KPIs, internal controls, and risk management (safety, data security, and regulatory).
Clear, timely communicator who aligns store, warehouse, construction, lending, and admin teams to shared outcomes.

Requirements
Your Education and Experience
8+ years of operations leadership with P&L or significant budget accountability in nonprofit, retail/logistics, housing, lending/financial services, or similar complex environments.
Multisite team management experience required; Habitat or affordablehousing background a plus.
Demonstrated success in implementing process improvements at scale.
Experience with OSHA/safety programs and facility operations (fleet, warehouse, store, or constructionadjacent).
Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
