Description

The Chief Financial Officer reports directly to the Owner / Dealer Principal. Responsible for the directing financial activities of the organization by performing the following duties and / or through subordinate managers and accounting personnel.

Essential Functions:                                                                                                                                                             

   Financial Leadership and Strategy

Serve as a business partner to the leadership team.
Deliver clear insights into financial performance, trends and improvement opportunities to the other executive team members.
   Accounting, Close & Controls

Standardize and ensure all accounting policies are followed.
Ensure the implementation of proper internal controls to safeguard company assets and maintain the accuracy of financial information provided to management.
Design and operate a fast, accurate monthly close with disciplined controls and auditable processes.
Oversee compliance with applicable regulations and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting.
   Treasury, Tax and Insurance

Own Treasury and Cash management and optimize working capital.
Manage staff and coordinate Sales tax, Business and Franchise & Excise payments and returns.
Oversee insurance (business and Health) analysis and annual renewal.
Relevant Experience 

Experience with multi-site financial management is required.
Experience with DMS Reynolds & Reynolds ERA Ignite Highly Preferred.
Ability to thrive in a hands-on environment where strategic thinking and execution go together.
Expert financial modeler and advanced Excel skills. 
Education & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Accounting / Finance.
CPA and / or MBA preferred.
Ability to perform the essential functions of the job typically acquired through 10 or more years of related experience.
Background Prerequisites

Must undergo and meet company standards for background check, employment verification, reference checks, physical and controlled substance testing.
