Business Function

Group Finance aims to deliver world-class standards in reporting, financial planning and finance processes. We provide insights and analyses that help the bank make sound business decisions. We also provide capital management, business planning, forecasting, and tax and accounting advisory services.

Responsibilities

• Perform general ledger to source reconciliation and support the team with core financial accounting and control duties.
• Execute month-end closing procedures, including the preparation of journal entries and supporting schedules for ledger posting.
• Assist in performing financial control activities, including inter-company account reconciliations and the investigation of identified discrepancies and breaks.
• Analyze material variances in financial results during the month-end closing process and provide support to the team in documenting explanations.
• Prepare schedules and reporting packages to fulfill group reporting requirements.
• Participate in Finance projects to drive improvements in workflows and processes.
• Prepare HKMA regulatory returns and provide inputs for other regulatory filings as required.
• Support process streamlining and Gen-AI initiatives to enhance efficiency and maintain robust internal controls.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree holder, preferably with a major in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
• With more than 2 years of work experience; candidates with an audit background or experience in the financial services industry are welcome.
• Foundational knowledge of banking products and their associated accounting and regulatory reporting requirements.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; a strong interest in process improvement and Gen-AI tools.
• Growth mindset with a commitment to personal development and team contribution.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
