The American Society of Employers has been retained by the historic Detroit Athletic Club to conduct a search for a Talent Acquisition Manager.
Founded in in 1887, the Detroit Athletic Club (often referred to as the “DAC”) is one of the oldest and most-respected private athletic and social clubs in the U.S. The DAC has earned the distinction of being named the #1 Athletic Club in the country, and a Platinum Club of America by the Club Leaders Forum.
We are looking for a hands-on recruiting leader who will immerse themselves in the organization, build strong partnerships with department leaders, and create innovative strategies to attract top talent in a highly competitive hospitality market.
Success in this role requires a self-starter who thrives on relationship building, enjoys being visible throughout the organization, and isn't afraid to challenge the status quo to improve results.

What You'll Do
- Manage full-cycle recruiting for both hourly and salaried positions.
- Source, screen, interview, and present qualified candidates to hiring managers.
- Extend offers and guide candidates through pre-employment requirements and onboarding.
- Ensure a positive and professional candidate experience from first contact through orientation.
- Meet regularly with department leaders to understand staffing needs and workforce challenges.
- Provide ongoing communication regarding recruiting activity, candidate pipelines, and market conditions.
- Serve as a trusted advisor on talent acquisition strategies and workforce planning.
- Evaluate current recruiting practices and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Develop creative sourcing strategies to attract talent in a competitive hospitality environment.
- Build talent pipelines through relationships with colleges, culinary schools, trade schools, workforce organizations, and community partners.
- Plan and participate in job fairs, hiring events, and workforce development initiatives.
- Support and continuously improve onboarding and new hire orientation programs.
- Collaborate with leadership to create a welcoming and engaging onboarding experience.
- Maintain accurate applicant tracking records and hiring documentation.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5+ years of talent acquisition or full-cycle recruiting experience.
- Experience recruiting both hourly and salaried employees.
- Experience working in a unionized environment.
- Strong relationship-building, communication, and organizational skills.
- Experience with Paycom or similar Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).
- Hospitality, restaurant, hotel, private club, food service, or service industry recruiting experience.
- Proven success developing creative recruiting strategies and talent pipelines.

Work Environment
This position is fully onsite at the Detroit Athletic Club in Detroit, Michigan. Hours: 9am-5pm. The role requires regular interaction with departments throughout the Club and active participation in recruiting events, manager meetings, and onboarding activities.
