Description
WVU Medicine's Administrative Fellowship (Community Health Academic Leadership Track), based at Berkeley Medical Center in Martinsburg, WV and Jefferson Medical Center in Ranson, WV. This is a two-year, comprehensive program designed to prepare emerging leaders for careers in healthcare management. The fellowship consists of nine core rotations and line leadership experience. The first year consists of rotations (Hospital Operations, Finance, Quality, Legal/Information Technology, Leadership, Human Resources, Ambulatory Operations, Nursing Operations & Critical Access Hospital) that encompass assigned projects with the intent of a hands-on experience within each rotation. After the core rotations are complete, the fellow will gain line leadership experience. Fellows will learn about the structure, philosophy, values, and mission of WVU Medicine, as well as develop and refine their leadership skills and competencies. In addition, fellows will spend time with key leaders and senior executives in order to gain perspective on daily challenges, decisions, and strategic initiatives. This provides an opportunity to gain in-depth knowledge about the institution, its leaders and identify areas for growth in project work or rotations. The entire WVU Medicine team is committed to retaining and integrating high-quality fellows within the organization after the fellowship is complete.
