Job Title: Accounting Associate

Location: New York City

Salary: $115,000-$130,000

Company Summary: An investment management firm is looking to bring on an Accounting Associate to join the Accounting team. The firm operates through several specialized subsidiaries which help manage, trade and service assets. The Accounting Associate will play a key role within the team, supporting financial operations across a complex mortgage and structured credit platform.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with month-end close, including journal entries and portfolio reporting, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Prepare reconciliations and maintain audit-ready workpapers (SOX compliant)
• Create reports for management and regulatory purposes
• Explain financial variances and support audits and process improvements across teams

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
• 4+ years of experience in accounting, audit or related field
• Familiarity with mortgage or fixed income (TBA, Loans, MSR)
• NetSuite, SQL, Python experience are a plus
