The VLC Youth Minister is the primary leader for students in grades 6–12, cultivating Christ-centered relationships and developing teams of students and adults who participate in the mission of God. This role has broad freedom to cast vision, design strategy, and lead a vibrant youth ministry that reaches families in South Lubbock.
Middle and high school are formative years when students long for relationships in which they feel known, loved, and welcomed. During this season, many choose whether to disengage from faith or step into lifelong discipleship. Because of this, the youth ministry at VLC is a relational training ground where students experience belonging, discover their place in the body of Christ, grow as leaders, and are inspired to walk with Jesus.
The Youth Minister reports to the Next Gen Minister and works collaboratively with parents, volunteers, and the wider VLC church family.
