Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Client Relationship Management
- Manage an assigned portfolio of corporate clients, acting as the primary point of contact for all banking matters.
- Develop and execute account strategies to deepen client relationships, increase wallet share, and support clients' business and financing needs.
- Maintain regular client engagement through meetings, calls, and site visits to understand business developments, funding requirements, and risk considerations.
- Ensure high standards of client service and responsiveness.
- Originate lending, trade, cash management, treasury, and other banking opportunities in line with business strategy.
- Work closely with product partners to structure appropriate solutions that meet client needs while optimizing risk-adjusted returns.
- Support cross-sell initiatives and contribute to team revenue targets.
- Prepare and manage credit submissions, annual reviews, and ad-hoc credit requests with clear analysis and well-articulated risk assessments.
- Monitor client performance, covenant compliance, and early warning indicators.
- Proactively identify and escalate credit concerns, recommending risk-mitigating actions where necessary.
- Ensure compliance with internal credit policies, limits, and regulatory requirements.
- Actively manage exposures, utilization, and profitability of the portfolio.
- Support loan documentation, conditions precedent fulfilment, and ongoing facility administration in coordination with operations and risk teams.
- Participate in problem account management and restructuring discussions, where applicable.
- Liaise closely with Credit Risk, Product, Legal, Operations, and Compliance teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
- Provide clear updates and recommendations to senior management on client developments and risk matters.
- Support team initiatives and contribute to overall business objectives.
Experience
- Typically 7-10 years of experience in corporate banking, relationship management, or credit-related roles.
- Proven track record in managing corporate client relationships and handling credit-driven transactions.
- Strong understanding of corporate banking products, financial analysis, and credit risk principles.
- Strong analytical and credit assessment skills.
- Good commercial judgment with balanced risk awareness.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a team-based environment.
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and accountability.
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related discipline.
- Professional qualifications (e.g. CFA, CA, CPA) are an advantage but not mandatory.
