Your role

We're looking for a Senior Valuation Manager to:

• Organize and facilitate the valuation process for the AIFs under UBS Asset Management Europe.
• Work with key stakeholders engaged in the valuation framework (i.e. valuation agent, portfolio management team, risk team, external valuers) to validate and update the valuation models, methodologies, data and assumptions.
• Review and control the AIF products valuation and carried interest model.
• Prepare valuation reports for the UBS AME AIF Valuation Committee review and approval.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly reporting for the senior management team and board of directors.
• Participate to project management (new fund on-boarding, new product type etc...)
• Help into the integration process from the legacy Credit Suisse third party AIFM.
• Handle audit requests related to valuation.

Your team

You'll be working in the Alternative Investment Fund Valuation team ("AIF team") in Luxembourg. Our team is acting as valuation agent for wide range of products (Fund of funds, real estate, direct infrastructure equity, direct infrastructure debt, social impact bonds, etc...). As a Senior Valuation Manager, you will review and control the valuation material produced by the relevant Asset Management teams.

Your expertise

• 8-12 years of relevant financial services industry experience (Investment Management or Deal Advisory)
• Master's Degree in Economics, Finance or Mathematics; any relevant qualifications will be an advantage (CFA/ICAEW/ACCA)
• Solid understanding of illiquid assets and portfolio valuation in accordance with Luxembourgish AIFMD.
• Strong technical accounting skills (Understand the fund accounting is fundamental)
• Knowledge of the local requirements in relation to AIF funds (SICAV, SIF; RAIF, etc...)
• Organized and focused on results, with the ability to work accurately under pressure.
• Proficient computer skills, including MS Office and Capital IQ/ Bloomberg.
• Fluent in English (both written and spoken) - any other European language will be an advantage.
