| Job Summary | The Senior Executive Director of Financial Planning and Budget provides enterprise leadership for all financial planning functions across UK HealthCare. This role is responsible for the development, execution, and oversight of the annual operating budget to ensure alignment with organizational targets and strategic goals, as well as the creation and maintenance of short-term and long-term financial forecasts. The position leads business plan pro forma development for major initiatives and investments and serves as a strategic partner to financial and operational leaders to ensure system-level decisions are informed by clear and comprehensive financial analysis. The role has primary ownership of the capital and operating budget processes and the integrated planning cycle, including aggregation and oversight of budgets for all University of Kentucky hospitals. In addition, the position leads financial support and analysis related to at-risk compensation benchmarking and performance, funds flow payment performance, university and Beyond Blue service assessments, and administrative department financial performance. There is an internal candidate being considered. |
| Skills / Knowledge / Abilities | The role requires executive-level expertise in healthcare financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting, including enterprise operating and capital budget consolidation, scenario-based financial modeling, funds flow analysis, and compliance with University and Board governance requirements |

| Preferred Education/Experience | A Master's Degree in Business Administration, Hospital Administration, Accounting, Finance or a closely related field. CPA preferred. |
