A day in life:
As the Senior Director of Marketing and Communications, you will manage a dynamic team while leading strategic marketing initiatives designed to drive brand and revenue growth as well as expand market presence in the Northeast region of Marsh McLennan Agency. Your role will involve collaboration across multiple teams and execution of campaigns during a period of rebranding. Some key responsibilities:
- Develop and implement marketing and communication strategies tailored to the Northeast market, including audience targeting, key messaging, and channel selection.
- Ensure consistent application and evolution of the company's brand identity across all materials and communications.
- Plan, execute, and measure multi-channel marketing campaigns (digital advertising, social media, email, events, PR) to drive customer acquisition, engagement, and retention.
- Oversee digital marketing including website location-page management, SEO, SEM, social media, and online advertising, staying current with industry trends and technologies.
- Develop and manage a content strategy delivering compelling, relevant content across blogs, articles, videos, whitepapers, and other formats to engage target audiences.
- Lead the creation and delivery of standard and customized communications for clients and prospects, continuously improving processes and content to support growth.
- Conduct market and competitive research to identify trends and opportunities; use data analytics to evaluate marketing effectiveness and inform decisions.
- Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing marketing team, foster innovation, collaboration, and professional growth.
- Manage the marketing budget to optimize resource allocation and ROI, monitor, and report on key performance indicators.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders (senior executives, sales, product management) and external partners (agencies, vendors) to align marketing efforts with business goals.
- Work closely with the national marketing and communications team to leverage nationally created assets, content, best practices, and workstreams.
We would love to meet you if your professional experience includes:
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or related field; MBA preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of marketing experience, preferably in insurance, financial services, banking, or professional services.
- At least 5 years of team management experience. Demonstrate ability to lead, develop, and influence cross functional teams.
- Demonstrate expertise in leveraging AI technologies and machine learning applied in a marketing capacity.
- Proficiency with marketing databases, CRM tools, and digital marketing platforms.
- Strong strategic thinking, project management, and multitasking skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, with persuasive presentation abilities.
- You must be able to travel up to 20% of the time.

The applicable base salary range for this role is $108,400 to $189,800.
The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
