Job Summary
This position will work with the Program Financial Management Private department. Program Financial Mgmt drives strategic decision making at IIE by providing thoughtful financial insight and data-driven recommendations to program management teams. PFA also liaises with the Grants & Contracts, Financial Planning & Analysis, Revenue Management, and Accounts Receivable teams to recommend finance and grant management process improvements and to review and develop IIE policies.
The Program Finance Analyst will support a dynamic and diverse array of programs primarily under the Corporate & Foundation Programs portfolio by analyzing financial data to aid program management decision-making and identify potential risks. The portfolio consists of a variety of funders and contract types, including grants, contracts, and contributions from several foundations, businesses and individuals. The Analyst's responsibilities include monitoring expenses compared to budgets and AR balances, preparing and reviewing financial reports and invoices for submission to funders, and analyzing the Program's financial results for IIE's senior financial leadership quarterly. The Analyst will collaborate and partner with program team leads to understand the program cycle and ongoing program activities to assess how these may impact the program's financial results.
Essential Functions:
• Creates and maintains financial reports to monitor program expenses against budget line items monthly. Discusses major variances and potential financial risks with manager and meets monthly with the program management team.
• Works with manager, program team, and the Grants & Contracts team to mitigate risks and resolve compliance issues.
• Collaborates with program teams to investigate variances in the Profit and Loss (P&L) statement in preparation for quarterly review meetings with the CFO and Deputy CFO.
• Prepares and reviews financial deliverables for submission to funders.
• Assists program teams during the semi-annual process to update the organization's operating budget by reviewing expense and revenue projections and determining whether projections are consistent with anticipated results in consultation with manager.
• Reviews revenue and cash application each month and works with Revenue Management and Accounts Receivable teams to resolve issues.
• Facilitates the setup of new contracts and charge codes in accordance with the contract's terms in the PeopleSoft contract management system. Acts as a contract administrator throughout the life cycle of a contract, including tracking financial deliverables, developing and distributing payment coding structure, and interpreting financial aspects of the contract for program teams.
• Supports pricing for competitive and renewal proposals.
• Supports the annual audit process as it relates to assigned contracts.

• Requires a bachelor's degree and at least two (2) years of related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically with Excel and financial data management.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills, including the ability to effectively convey financial information to non-financial program stakeholders.
• Ability to create and sustain effective working relationships with colleagues across the organization.
• Highly organized, detail oriented, ability to take initiative, work independently, and meet deadlines.
• Ability to exercise discretion on confidential matters.
Salary and Benefits:
Hiring Range: $59,232 - $72,712. A candidate's starting salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, job-related knowledge, skills, abilities, internal organizational equity, and geographic region.
