About The Role:
Civida has a new role open on our People and Culture team as an Organizational Learning and Development Lead. The Organizational Learning and Development Lead is responsible for leading the design, implementation, and evaluation of enterprise learning, leadership development, and organizational change initiatives that strengthen employee capability, engagement, and performance across Civida. This role is central to fostering a culture of continuous learning, supporting organizational readiness and adoption through change, and ensuring learning strategies are aligned with Civida’s strategic priorities, values, and operational needs. Salary: starting at $74,751.00 per annum
Accountabilities:
Key Responsibility 1: Organizational Learning and Development
- Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of Civida’s learning and development strategy to build organizational capability and support strategic priorities.
- Translate business needs and organizational objectives into targeted learning, leadership development, and capability-building programs.
- Oversee the design of learning solutions using adult learning principles and a range of delivery methods, including in-person, virtual, e-learning, blended, and microlearning approaches.
Key Responsibility 2: Learning Management System and Learning Operations
- Oversee and govern Civida’s Learning Management System (LMS), ensuring it effectively supports corporate learning, compliance training, and specialized learning needs.
- Ensure accurate administration, tracking, reporting, and maintenance of training records and completion requirements.
- Partner with internal subject matter experts and stakeholders to develop, update, and maintain learning materials, tools, and resources across multiple platforms.
- Ensure training materials and processes comply with legislative requirements, accessibility standards, and learning best practices.
Key Responsibility 3: Learning Needs Analysis, and Evaluation
- Partner with stakeholders to conduct learning needs assessments, define objectives, and develop plans to address organizational and team capability gaps.
- Develop and implement evaluation methods to measure learning effectiveness, user experience, knowledge transfer, and business impact.
Key Responsibility 4: Organizational Change Management
- Lead the development and execution of change management plans in partnership with project leads, teams, leaders, and key stakeholders.
- Develop and apply structured change management tools and deliverables, including stakeholder assessments, sponsorship roadmaps, communications plans, training plans, resistance management strategies, and readiness assessments.
- Facilitate workshops and working sessions to support change planning, engagement, and adoption.
- Develop resource plans for change-related activities, including employee engagement, learning, communications, and readiness supports.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Education, Organizational Development, or related field.
- 5+ years of progressive experience leading corporate learning and leadership development.
- A Master’s degree is preferred.
- A related designation, such as CPHR, Procsi, CTDP, CPTD is considered an asset.
- Experience with Moodle is an asset.
- Demonstrated experience leading change on complex, cross-functional initiatives.
- Experience in public sector is an asset.
- Proven experience designing and delivering training programs at scale.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
- Ability to influence and build relationships across all levels of an organization.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Project management experience or understanding of project lifecycles is an asset.
