Our experience, integrity, and economic ingenuity mean clients can depend on us in the face of their biggest economic and financial challenges.We currently have an opening for a Researcher in the Market Design and Auctions Group located in our New York City office. This is an exciting opportunity to join a team that operates worldwide and uses quantitative and qualitative methods to design and manage auctions, to develop bidding strategies for bidders in auctions, and to conduct analyses of market rules and pricing. Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor's degree in economics, finance, mathematics, statistics, or a related field. Qualified candidates will have a strong academic record, exceptional analytical skill, quantitative skill, as well as a demonstrated ability to communicate complex analyses clearly and coherently. The following are not requirements but would be highly desirable: 1) prior experience in communications, radio spectrum or energy markets; 2) a Master's degree in economics, business, or environment; or 3) knowledge of a foreign language, especially Spanish.
The qualified candidate will work independently within a team environment on client advisory projects and litigation casework. Areas include designing and conducting radio spectrum auctions, empirical analyses, modelling, and interface with regulatory authorities. Ideal candidates will have interest and/or experience in Game Theory. This position offers the opportunity to travel both domestically and overseas (up to 15%).

The applicable base salary for this role is $95,000 - $105,000 per year.
The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, and education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
