Description
Join a high-impact controllership team at the center of the firm's financial stewardship.The Legal Entity Control team provides financial oversight for its legal entity and is responsible for maintaining a strong control environment across all businesses, products, and operational areas that affect legal entity financials and regulatory reporting.
This role offers broad exposure to multiple lines of business and key internal stakeholders, with the chance to learn legal entity controllership end-to-end. The Associate will partner with line-of-business finance teams, Operations, and the broader Legal Entity Controller community to advance the legal entity agenda.
Job responsibilities:
- Perform the legal entity control functions which includes the maintenance of the financial and management books
- Manage the month-end close process to ensure accurate and complete close of books & records under US GAAP as well as local GAAP
- Perform month-end analytical reviews to ensure completeness and accuracy of financial statements
- Report submission to various regulators such as the Securities and Exchange Commission
- Process the entity's end-to-end monthly billing and recovery
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors and regulators, as and when required.
- Maintain high level of internal control standards and adherence to regulations, policies and standards
- Participate in Finance system enhancements and development and other control related projects
Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills:
- Accounting or finance related course graduate
- At least 5 to 7 years of accounting work experience
- Strong client holder and stakeholder management
- Familiarity with tax and local regulations and reporting requirements
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work under considerable time pressure, while maintaining a high level of accuracy and quality
- Good communication skills and team-oriented
- Ability to partner and influence across businesses and other support groups
- Control focus and mindset at all times, while respectively challenging the status quo
- Advanced knowledge in Microsoft applications- Excel, Power Point, Word
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills:
- Certified Public Accountant
- Experience and knowledge in using SAP General Ledger
