Description

A well-regarded investment platform is looking to add a junior buy-side Fund Accounting / Operations Analyst to its Hong Kong team. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates coming from fund administration or financial services operations who are looking to make an early move in-house and gain wider exposure across fund accounting, fund operations, and investment support activities.

This role will suit candidates with initial experience supporting private equity funds, hedge funds, or alternative investment structures , and who are keen to develop their career within a dynamic buy-side environment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Support daily fund accounting and operational processes, including reconciliations, cash monitoring, NAV-related work, and transaction support .
2. Assist with fund lifecycle activities such as capital calls, distributions, subscriptions, redemptions, and expense tracking , depending on the fund structure.
3. Liaise with fund administrators, custodians, brokers, and internal stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely processing, reporting, and issue resolution.
4. Help oversee trade settlement, portfolio movements, and other day-to-day operational activities.
5. Prepare reports, working files, and supporting documentation for internal review and external service providers.
6. Contribute to workflow enhancement and operational improvement initiatives where needed.
7. Maintain strong accuracy, control, and organisation across all assigned tasks.

Requirements

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related discipline .
2. Around1 year of relevant experience in fund accounting, fund administration, or fund operations .
3. Candidates from fund administrators, asset managers, or other financial institutions with exposure to alternative investment funds will be considered.
4. Strong attention to detail, a responsible mindset, and willingness to learn in a fast-moving environment.
5. Good command of English ; Chinese language skills would be beneficial.
6. Keen interest in building a long-term career on the buy-side .
