About our client

We are currently working with a premier investment banking group in Mexico. Our client focuses primarily on M&A transactions and restructurings, deals from US$50m to US$300m. It is your chance to join a seasoned team of professionals as an Associate. The position is based in Mexico City. What the job involves

• Perform in-depth financial, industry and market analyses
• Help to identify new business opportunities and potential clients
• Work closely with senior team members to conceptualize, analyze and structure deals, from origination through to execution
• Perform due diligence and underwriting processes to identify risks, collaborating with the legal, accounting and other teams
• Create pitch books with great precision to present to clients
• Engage with senior management on the negotiations and terms of the transactions

Who we are looking for

• Experience working in an investment banking firm or bank, preferably on M&A and/or restructuring deals. Consultancy firms will also be considered
• Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, economics or a related field
• Exceptional financial modelling skills required
• Solid analytical, organizational, and critical thinking skills
• Resilient and able to work under pressure and meet challenging deadlines
• Ability to establish priorities in a fast-paced, fluid work environment
• Capable to multi-task and be nimble, with strong attention to detail, and a disciplined work ethic
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish is a must
