About This Opportunity
The Head of Institutional Relations in Brazil will lead our institutional engagement strategy while supporting public relations/reputation strategies and sustainability efforts in Brazil. This role acts as a strategic business partner to strengthen Diageo's corporate brand by building trustful relationships with key stakeholders and promoting positive societal impact.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate on designing and implementing Corporate Relations (CR) strategies with functional heads and the VP of Corporate Relations.
- Lead institutional engagement agendas with entities and key stakeholders.
- Direct state-level public policy strategies.
- Identify business opportunities for Diageo.
- Strengthen industry agendas promoting responsibility and regulation/taxation.
- Enhance Diageo's reputation among external stakeholders including press, government, associations, partners, and community.
- Ensure consistency in corporate messaging/public positioning.
- Advise local leadership on reputational issues/external relationships.
- Partner with function heads (Public Policy, Communications & Sustainability) fostering a culture of high performance/collaboration/purpose.
Education & Technical Knowledge:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Law, International Relations or related fields; Postgraduate or MBA is a plus.
- Fluency in English required.
- Minimum 10 years' experience in Public Policy/Corporate Relations functions within multinational companies preferred.
- Experience with Trade Associations/Government is desirable.
- Background within alcoholic beverages sector or related field is advantageous.
