Responsibilities
The position is an opportunity to take a leading middle office role to support the growth of the businesses.
- Oversee all fund accounting and operational services provided by the outsource providers, for a range of funds and structures ensuring all stakeholder and statutory deadlines are met along with monitoring provider SLAs to ensure service is in line with the KPIs agreed.
- Oversee the transaction lifecycle of securities held by the product offering, which includes assisting the investment team in the structuring and execution process to those securities.
- Manage any issues escalated by the service providers in relation to other third parties in the operating model e.g. transfer agents, registrars, auditors, tax advisors, etc.
- Provide input and instruction to the Product Management and Product Implementation teams in the design, structuring and set-up of new structures including working with the Schroders structuring team, internal counsel, external advisors and fund managers. Ensure that proper operating frameworks are set up and service providers are appropriately selected and appointed.
- Present information to the Boards /Operating Committees/Others charged with governance.
- Support with the establishment and management of a middle office team in line with the growth of FGC & Solutions business. Lead and manage the team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. Support the development and implementation of strategic initiatives to enhance operational processes, systems and controls.
- Ensure effective communication and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders by engaging with clients, auditors, other stakeholders to address queries and being able respond to deliverables.
- Maintain a robust control environment, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Oversee all cash management aspects with the service provider.
- Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of data across all systems and reports.
- Lead and oversight on projects.
- Attend/lead regular service review meetings and support annual due diligence activities.
- Provide input to relevant change management agenda as required.

Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in finance, Business, or related field (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CFA preferred).
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in middle office operations within the asset management or financial services industry, with a focus on private markets.
- Be fully conversant with all major aspects of the fund accounting industry.
- Proven people leadership experience.
- Understanding of operational requirements and ability to implement appropriate processes and knowledge of reporting requirements including statutory, investor, tax, etc.
- Experience and understanding of fund accounting and related fund structures in the UK, Channel Islands and across Europe.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with senior stakeholders.
