JOB SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
1. Demonstrates ability in constructing and repairing all phases of commercial sprinkling systems
2. Demonstrates ability in using hand and power tools to make repairs and complete projects
3. Demonstrates ability to read and interpret manuals, plans, and instructions to complete projects
4. Demonstrates mechanical aptitude
5. Demonstrates ability to operate grounds vehicles and equipment including, but not limited to, tractors, trucks, mowers, spreaders, snowplows, and weed trimmers
6. Demonstrates ability to learn and utilize computer hardware and software as it
relates to job assignments
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Constructs, repairs, and services sprinkler and irrigation systems
2. Mows and fertilizes as assigned
3. Prepares and applies nutrients, pesticides, and insecticides as assigned
4. Seeds, sods, and/or landscapes as assigned
5. Performs general grounds work including, but not limited to, fence installation and repair, concrete work, grading, sand blasting, demolition and hauling, painting, metal work, and light construction
6. Performs snow removal as assigned including, but not limited to, plowing, shoveling, and removal
7. Stripes and marks athletic fields and areas correctly as assigned
8. Cleans and maintains vehicles, equipment, and tools as assigned
9. Accounts for all inventory used in construction, repair, and/or installation of project materials
10. Constructs, repairs, and services playground equipment
11. Models an effective understanding and respect for diversity and inclusion
12. Incorporates legal rights and due process for children with special needs
13. Demonstrates a positive attitude towards change
14. Demonstrates the ability to communicate effectively, collaborate with co-workers, and interact with colleagues in a professional manner
15. Performs such other tasks as may, from time to time, be assigned
Requirements
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
1. High school diploma or equivalent
Experience:
1. Experience in sprinklers, irrigation systems, and general grounds related activities
Certificates/Licenses:
1. Must hold a valid Colorado Driver’s License
