Overview
Plan and manage all events at 19 Washington Square North (19 WSN), NYU Abu Dhabis (NYUAD) headquarters in New York, establishing it as a hub for academic engagement, cross-campus collaboration, and high-level outreach. Oversees daily operations with a primary focus on event planning and execution, ensuring alignment with NYUADs strategic goals. Collaborate with client departments to design and implement events, oversee logistics, budgeting, participant communication, vendor relations, and payments. Establish and monitor timelines to ensure key milestones and objectives are met. Manage the events calendar and resolve conferencing challenges between NYU New York and NYUAD, ensuring seamless coordination across teams. Serve as the primary liaison for event-related needs, working closely with campus media, IT, faculty, and external partners to deliver high-quality programming. Partner with administrative staff to oversee facilities management, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and act as a key contact for building maintenance, security, and space utilization. Lead special projects supporting NYUADs engagement strategies. Provide high-level administrative and operational support for the Faculty Fellowship and other strategic initiatives.
Responsibilities
Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree
Required Experience:
3+ years relevant experience with event, budget and program management or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Excellent planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Excellent writing skills and basic research skills including facility with internet research. Ability to interpret policies and procedures and effectively communicate sensitive information verbally and in writing to a diverse population. Good judgment, discretion, and ability to maintain confidence are essential. Expertise with database software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Qualifications
In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $70,000.00 to USD $79,200.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
