About the Role:
We're looking for a Director, Technical Operations on the Technical Operations Management team to help us expand what's possible for patients with serious diseases. Reporting to the Director, Project Management, you'll be responsible for defining, communicating, and executing the long-term strategic vision of the Technical Operations (Tech Ops) organization.
This leader drives cross-functional alignment, translates corporate strategy into actionable operational plans, and ensures Tech Ops has the right capabilities, infrastructure, and training to meet future business needs.
What You'll Do:
- Develop and maintain the long-term Tech Ops strategy aligned with corporate objectives.
- Translate strategy into actionable plans across sites and departments.
- Lead scenario planning, pipeline mapping, and network design for manufacturing and QC labs.
- Oversee make-versus-buy analyses with External Supply, Commercial, and Procurement.
- Shape and implement a global people and capability development strategy for Tech Ops.
- Oversee cross-Tech Ops training programs, ensuring strong curriculum design, delivery, and impact tracking.
- Develop and maintain the global Tech Ops master plan and ensure alignment with site-level plans.
- Identify and drive innovation opportunities across manufacturing, supply chain, and quality operations.
- Partner with Finance to define a multi-year CapEx portfolio strategy and guide investment decisions.
- Monitor department and site performance against strategic goals, KPIs, and P&L targets.
Who You Are:
You have a Bachelor's degree in a scientific, engineering, or business field required; advanced degree preferred along with 10+ years of experience in pharmaceutical or biotech operations, strategy, or related areas.
You are or you also have:
- Proven experience developing and executing long-term strategies in complex global organizations.
- Strong financial acumen and experience with CapEx portfolio management.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and change leadership skills.
- Have had experience in the implementation/adoption of strategic planning, including network design and training and development programs.
Where You'll Work
This is a hybrid role based out of our Bridgewater, NJ office. You'll have the option to work remotely most of the time, with in-person collaboration when it matters most.
Travel Requirements
This role requires occasional [domestic/international/global] travel (approximately [5%-15%])
Pay Range:
$177,000.00-242,000.00 Annual
