Director, Security Architecture & Assurance - 643

We are seeking a Director of Security Architecture & Assurance for our Broomfield, CO location. The Director of Security Architecture and Assurance is a senior leadership role responsible for shaping the organization's security architecture strategy and ensuring the effectiveness of its assurance programs. This individual will oversee the design, implementation, and validation of security controls across enterprise systems, applications, and cloud environments. The role requires a visionary leader who can balance business objectives with robust security practices, ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks and resilience against evolving threats.
Key Responsibilities: The Director will lead team members and manage processes and technologies situated across North America, Europe, and Asia.

Strategic Leadership:

• Define and maintain the enterprise security architecture roadmap aligned with organizational goals and regulatory frameworks.
• Lead the development of secure design principles for infrastructure, applications, and cloud adoption.
• Establish assurance frameworks to validate security controls and compliance.

Governance & Risk Management:

• Develop and enforce security policies, standards, and guidelines.
• Partner with risk and compliance teams to address regulatory requirements and frameworks (e.g., NIST CSF, CIS CSC18, ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR, HIPAA).
• Conduct threat modeling and risk assessments, providing executive-level reporting on security posture.

Operational Excellence:

• Oversee security architecture reviews for new initiatives and third-party integrations.
• Lead assurance activities including audits, penetration testing, and continuous monitoring of the attack surface.
• Drive automation and innovation in assurance processes to improve efficiency and reduce time-to-delivery.

Collaboration & Influence:

• Act as a trusted advisor to executives and stakeholders on security risks and investments.
• Collaborate with IT, engineering, and product teams to embed security into digital transformation projects.
• Represent the organization in industry forums and regulatory discussions.

Team Leadership:

• Build, mentor, and lead a team of security architects, application security analysts, and assurance professionals.
• Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.

You Must have:

• Bachelor's Degree minimum
• Minimum 15+ years of experience in security, investigations, and/or intelligence
• Due to Contractual requirements, must be a U.S. Person defined as, U.S. citizen permanent resident or green card holder, workers granted asylum or refugee status.
• Due to national security requirements imposed by the U.S. Government, candidates for this position must not be a People's Republic of China national or Russian national unless the candidate is also a U.S. citizen.

Compensation & Benefits: Incentive Eligible Range posted is inclusive of bonus target when applicable The pay range for this role is $240,000 $300,000 annually. Actual compensation within this range may vary based on the candidate's skills, educational background, professional experience, and unique qualifications for the role.
