| Job Summary | UK HealthCare Information Technology Services has posted the Client Technologies Engineer I role. This role will be held accountable for establishing strong credibility & collaboration with our physicians, customers, department leadership, affiliated organizations, and all I.T. staff members. This is a highly matrixed organization which requires excellent interpersonal skills, persuasion and influencing skills, ability to participate in large multi-disciplinary teams with significant amount of varied work assignments. The successful Client Technology Engineer I will primarily be responsible for the administration of the end user communication applications. Other responsibilities are PC Standard Operating Environment ("SOE") configurations to include Operating System design and image management; File and Print services; PC, Macintosh, Thin Client and Mobile Device Systems Management including Centralized virus protection and Microsoft System Center tools; centralized elevated support and patch delivery; and implementing self-help / self-heal services. Additional responsibilities include adherence to standards, processes, and procedures; adherence to the UK HealthCare Behavioral Expectations; and project management. UK HealthCare is a comprehensive healthcare system consisting of the medical, nursing, health sciences, public health, dental and pharmacy patient care activities of the University of Kentucky in Lexington, KY, and in several off-site locations. UK HealthCare is expanding through the construction of a new hospital and potential future acquisitions. The position requires you to obtain Microsoft Windows 7, 8 or 10 Configuration or MD-100: Windows 10 or Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate or MD-102 Endpoint Administrator within one year of hire date. | Skills / Knowledge / Abilities | The ideal candidate will have the following skills: Enterprise desktop support; Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate; image management; enterprise systems management; computing hardware; computing software; problem solving; excellent interpersonal and communication, both written and verbal; project management methodologies and practice; and Microsoft Project knowledge is preferred. |
