- CFP Student Communications Coordinator

4 days per week (30.4 hours)
The Financial Advice Association Australia (FAAA) is seeking a motivated and people-focused CFP Student Communications Coordinator to support the Education team in the growth of the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® (CFP) program.
This role plays a critical part in guiding students through every stage of their CFP journey — from application to completion — ensuring they feel informed, supported and confident as they work towards certification.
About the Role
Reporting to the CFP Manager, you will coordinate high-quality, proactive communications with CFP candidates. You will manage candidate interactions across Salesforce and the Learning Management System (LMS), helping drive candidate progression and conversion to CFP membership.
This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who enjoys working with systems, communicating with diverse stakeholders, and delivering outstanding customer experiences.

Key Objectives
Support the growth of CFP members by assisting students through the CFP application and learning journey.
Ensure students are fully informed, supported and engaged at all stages of their pathway to CFP certification or Proficiency Unit completion.
Facilitate smooth transitions from candidate to CFP member.
Key Responsibilities
General Communications
Respond to education enquiries via Salesforce within published timelines.
Answer education-related phone calls and general enquiries.
Maintain up-to-date CFP content on the FAAA website.
Applications Management
Assess CFP applications in Salesforce, approving, declining or requesting further information.
Track applicants at various stages and coordinate communications with the marketing team.
Triage students into the appropriate semester programs within the LMS.
Proactively follow up incomplete applications and payment status.
Maintain accurate application records in Salesforce.
Respond to prospective candidate enquiries.
Candidate Communications (In-Program)
Ensure students understand how to use the LMS and are aware of key deadlines.
Track candidate progress and produce reports to support proactive follow-up.
Communicate changes to program requirements clearly and promptly.
Train as a back-up host for webinar tutorials.
Monitor CFP online chat groups with subject matter experts and respond to candidate queries.
Exam Support
Provide on-site support on exam days and respond to candidate questions.
Communicate any exam-related changes quickly and effectively.
Results Release & Transition
Coordinate all candidate communications on published results release days.
Ensure diagnostic letters are issued within one week of results release.
Work closely with the E-Learning Systems Coordinator and Membership team to transition successful students to CFP membership.
Coordinate celebration communications with Marketing, Membership, the CEO and General Manager.
Record Keeping
Ensure all candidate communications are recorded in Salesforce.
Maintain accurate enrolment records in Excel.
Requirements
Knowledge and Skills:
This role suits a proactive, organised and customer-focused professional with strong communication and relationship-building skills.
Confidence working across digital platforms such as Microsoft 365, CRM systems (Salesforce), Learning Management Systems and Zoom or other online conferencing software is essential, along with the ability to manage data accurately while balancing multiple deadlines.
A collaborative, adaptable and solutions-focused mindset is key, as is a genuine passion for education and supporting others through structured learning journeys.
A bachelor’s degree is required, either completed or with substantial progress towards completion.
