Description
The Case Oversight & Administration Team (COAT) is a collaborative and inclusive group. As a Legal Operations Analyst, you'll handle the initial assessment, case intake, and data management for litigation at JPMorgan Chase. Your role involves reviewing legal and non-legal documents, conducting research, applying policies, interacting with staff, creating reports, and analyzing data in a fast-paced environment. You'll make decisions based on legal knowledge and business understanding.Job responsibilities:
- Learn to examine and prioritize legal and non-legal documents to decide if they should be managed by the Litigation Department or routed to another area of the business.
- Conduct detailed research using internal and external systems to understand customer relationships related to potential litigation.
- Respond to specific research requests and data requests as needed.
- Keep electronic case files updated with matter initiating documents and any additional documents served to the Firm.
- Learn to identify urgent issues and escalate them promptly to management when necessary.
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
- Analytical, organizational, research, presentation, time management, and project management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
- All candidates for a role in the Legal Department must successfully complete a conflicts of interest clearance review prior to commencement of employment.
- Strong in the English language.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills:
- Familiarity with US law and regulations regarding the financial industry.
- Legal experience.
- Working knowledge of banking and finance.
