Allen & Baughman, Attorneys at Law, L.L.C. is accepting resumes for an associate attorney position. The associate attorney’s position will entail a general practice of law in a successful, high volume small firm located in Zanesville, Ohio. The firm focuses on banking, real estate, estate planning, administration of estates, representation of small businesses, municipal law (including prosecution of misdemeanor offenses), landlord/tenant, adoption and family law. The firm also operates a real estate title agency for which the associate will perform real estate title search and transaction work. If not already licensed, the associate will become a licensed title agent.
Experience preferred. The firm’s attorneys will mentor, guide and assist in the associate’s legal skills and practice development. The associate will support and work directly with partners and associate to support all practice areas of the firm.
The candidate will be motivated, self-starting, knowledgeable and driven. The candidate will have the ability to multitask, work in a fast-paced environment, work both independently and with others, and will possess strong people skills. Strong work ethic, and excellent research, writing, drafting and oral communication skills are required. Candidate will attend hearings.
